Italy - World Heritage list - Page 1

World Heritage Italy - Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations.

Our cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration.

Places as unique and diverse as the wilds of East Africa’s Serengeti, the Pyramids of Egypt, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and the Baroque cathedrals of Latin America make up our world’s heritage.

911 properties are now inscribed on the World Heritage List with 704 cultural, 180 natural and 27 mixed properties in 151 States Parties.

The List, arranged alphabetically by nominating State Party, is current as of July 2010.

The list will be updated following the next meeting of the Committee.
